A motion was made by Council Member Roy Baldwin, “I move to rename Division 17135 of the Parks and Recreation budget, appearing on page P21, of the proposed budget for fiscal year 2026 to 2027 from, Aquatics and Fitness Center to future development of the town owned property at 301 Center Street South.” The motion was seconded by Council Member Nash and was approved by a vote of 5-2, with Council Members Springsteen and Anderson being the nays. 



Council Member Baldwin then made another motion following the amendments approval, "I move to close the public hearing and I further move that the Town Clerk be directed to advertise a notice of intent to adopt the fiscal year 2026-27 budget at the May 18th 2026 Town Council meeting following Town Council's consideration of the real estate tax rate.” The motion was seconded by Council Member Ramakis. The motion carried by the following vote:
